Melter Advanced Control

The furnace is a key part of the glass production as it consumes most of the energy and is the main originator of the emissions, and therefore autonomous control can help a lot.

Since the use of the ES III™, the energy consumption was reduced by more than 250 kWh/t of molten glass - the lowest energy consumption since the startup, even with a significant cullet reduction.

In addition, positive effects of waste gas, corrosion of furnace, e-holder repairs have been observed, and ES III™ can easily handle 5 job changes per day.

Example:

Glass temperature stabilization can be used to save energy by reduction of production temperature setpoint.
Operate furnace at lower temperature, but keep above critical limit to prevent glass defects.
